Loma Apparel
Loma Apparel is one of three amazing Fashion Brands we featured in our most recent community newsletter.
THE/STUDIO: Introduce yourself. Tell our readers a little bit about who you are!
Carter: We are Loma Apparel! Originally out of Southern California in 2012 we released our first product, a snapback which we stocked 100 of. We had great success in the early going and sold out of all hats in just three days.
THE/STUDIO: What does your company do?
Carter: Now our company has two facets. First and primarily we run www.LomaApparel.com, a clothing company that is designed to not only have fresh clothes, but built to make a difference as well. We give 10% of our price of products back to non-profits; it’s a unique way we can give back to those who need it. Our second side is where THE/STUDIO has really helped us out. We created a side of Loma Apparel called “Loma Customs” this is where we use our network to do wholesale orders. Many companies have no idea where to start or what they should be paying for uniforms or even t-shirts. We can come in and assist them along that path, and handle the entire back end.
THE/STUDIO: What have you learned since starting Loma Apparel?
Carter: I think the things we have learned much out weigh what we knew before. One key takeaway for us is the relationship with which you have for customers or business affiliates is ultimately more important then any sale. Treating people with respect and being honest is the most important aspect of our business.
THE/STUDIO: What about Loma Apparel are you most proud of?
Carter: Seeing what we were day one with just a few hats and no real identity, to now a multi-faceted business with a beautiful website and values that make a difference has been something to be more then proud of.
THE/STUDIO: What are some of the greatest challenges you face with your company?
Carter: Being a solely online business with myself Carter, and my partner Jon living in different countries has provided a few challenges along the way. Fortunately it has taught both of us patience and understanding to a new level. You can’t always count on the Internet to work great, but I really think it has helped Jon and I grow a lot as partners and business men.
THE/STUDIO: Where do you see your organization or business in 10 years?
Carter: I see Loma Apparel being in 100 plus stores, and Loma customs with plenty of accounts and happy customers.
THE/STUDIO: What type of legacy do you want to leave?
Carter: It’s not all about the money. Life has a lot more to offer, creating something that my partner Jon, and I are proud of, from a cultural standpoint along with values standpoint.
THE/STUDIO: What is the story behind the custom product that you produced with THE/STUDIO?
Carter: Really we started by getting some patches made through them for a project we had with Loma Apparel, but one thing led to another and they have really taken care of our back end. We are trying to transition them into creating all of our products.
THE/STUDIO: Do you have any promotions you would like to offer our community?
Carter: We just re-released 2 products that we previously sold out of and we are giving the promo code “Throwback” out for 10% off all purchases.
THE/STUDIO: Is there anything our community members can do to help?
Carter: We help support 5 non-profits! We would love for people to check out the “Giving Back” section of the website and check out how they can go a step further in giving back.
At Loma Apparel, we believe in living life authentically. We want to embody the adventure seekers and risk takers. We also believe in helping others along the way, in whatever way you can. We give 10% of the price of the product (both Loma Clothing company and Loma Customs) to help make a difference along the way.
Thank you, Carter, for sharing your story with us. We know we will continue to see great things from Loma Apparel.
